mom came in her usual blustery self, terrified him once we had almost got him calm, and then opened the door "so he doesn't pee on the carpet" and he BOLTED

i mean, chances are he'll come back, 'cos he feels safe here? or at least he did. (dad actually didn't find him on our porch, he found him a few doors down on the way in to work. the dog found our house of his own accord 'cos dad was nice to him and there were places to hide)

but now i have no closure on this whole business and i can't focus on my work 'cos i'm really worried about this poor dog

and mom clearly does not give a fuck

because "it's not your dog, whoever lost him is probably crying right now"

right, that's why he doesn't know what "good dog" means

(hi, i'm upset now, fuck capitalisation)

ETA: Saw him out for a walk with his people, so he made it home. And he seemed happy with them. So chances are he was a rescued dog in the first place, but he's comfortable with his own family.

Oh, okay, that's good! Yeah, my dad and stepmom's dog is like that. She's really skittish even with us.
