I know the internet has a collective hard-on for Tom Hardy, but the fact remains that Bane is Latino and Tom Hardy is very clearly not.
Chris Nolan has created a Gotham that will be seen by more people than any comic. And in this universe, Bane and Ra's are white guys, Jim Jr. is more important than Babs, one woman was fridged to provide angst for two men, and the closest thing we get to Renee is a woman who turns out to have betrayed everyone.
I'm sick of this. I'm not saying that the comicsverse Batfamily is perfect by any means, but I really really hate that the major public face of my fandom is sexist whitewashed bullshit. I am not okay with this.
