(Pictures forthcoming, they're all on
lufwood_emilius' camera.)
So many excellent costumes this year, holy shit. Didn't see nearly as many Rorschachs as expected (only like, five.) Well, and there was one Hobo!Rorschach, and a few people who may have been hobo!Rorschach or may have been just smelly people in trenchcoats. An' there was a girl Robin, and a Spoiler (the girl who does the Steph's Voice YouTube stuff), and a lot of Black Canarys the day I was her, and a million and a half Supergirls, including one who had an excellent non-premade costume and who hung around with an amazing amazing Cass!Batgirl, and and and. Riddlers! Small child Two-Face! SILHOUETTE.
The DC Booth was giving away Free Things, most of which I already had (Batman and Robin #1, the DC FCBD stuff, the first Batwoman Detective issue, all the "After Watchmen" one-dollar books) but took anyway for Nefarious Collage Purposes. The WB booth had "Take your picture with Green Lantern," which we did (while I was Sally and Lufwood was Braniac 5), and free flashing GL rings, which they had given away by the time we got there, and the hilarious blue Watchmen condoms, which Lufwood took one of 'cos they're HILARIOUS.
So yes. Being Black Canary and then being Sally was, um, an experience? And by that I mean, I had a hell of a lot of fun but now my feet hurt, the end. (Things acquired: Free stuff from DC, including a truly ridiculous amount of buttons; Dead Boy Detectives manga because it is the silliest Sandman spin off that ever happened; 30 comics for 20 dollars; Sally Jupiter Action Figure, for which I got a discount for actually being Sally; Eowyn In Armour action figure which was on clearance. IL Conventions!)
