Final Day + Art Dump
I just realised I only ever did 29 days, so. I should probably finish that.
Thing You Would Undo, If You Could
Well, at first, I was going to say the one thing I would undo would be Lian's death. But just bringing her back the way they did Steph, and pretending she had never really died, wouldn't be good enough, because all the stupid shit that happened after would still have happened, Roy would still be a crazy evil junkie with a robot arm, Ollie would still have killed Prometheus, nothing would actually be fixed.
So then I thought, okay, I'll undo every Green Arrow-related story since Lian died. But then I realised I wasn't really reading Green Arrow at the time, to the point where I sometimes forget how much I used to love those characters because I just stopped caring. I stopped caring around the time the entire supporting cast vanished all at once: Mia ran off to England with her boyfriend who everybody knew was no good, Connor was in a coma and then he woke up and had a healing factor but no archery ability or memory of who he was.
So maybe I would undo every Green Arrow story since that? But no. Because even at the start, when I was buying GA/BC regularly, it was for Cliff Chiang's gorgeous art, and not for the actual stories, which were mediocre but seem great in comparison with more recent stuff. So... I would undo every Green Arrow story since the Wedding, which despite the fact that I got to it in a roundabout way, probably surprises nobody. (Actually, I would go a bit further back and undo everything that happened in Dinah's stupid miniseries. Because Sin needs to not have been abandoned.)
Now, art! I had barely scanned anything this summer until now, so there is... Kind of a lot. There is one original piece (a demonic Siren-type-thing) but the rest is DC. Included are most of Young Justice (with new additions to the team); Misfit; various Batgirls; Jeannette and Black Alice; and several Girl Wonders, one canon and one very AU. (I told you there was kind of a lot.)
Siren

I got the idea for this at a "Drawing Monsters" panel at the Steampunk Worlds Fair in the spring. The artist leading the discussion suggested that some of the key elements to drawing monsters was to put things that should be on the inside (internal organs, bones, etc) on the outside, and that you should always use things from nature that actually scare you. And I was in a room/hotel full of heavily-corseted women. So those three things combined themselves in my head and this image came to me in a flash, although it took another few weeks to get her out on paper properly.
I used to draw monsters all the time, I should get back to that. It's extremely cathartic.
Sparkly Pen Sketches
These are just quick sketches, I was playing around with sparkly pens. Way too much fun.

I don't draw Cassie nearly enough.

Misfit is way too much fun to draw.

Black Alice. Channeling my inner Kindergoth for this one.

I was bored, I asked my mom what I should draw, she told me to draw Black Canary. So I did.

Jeannette needs more love. She's definitely my favourite new character from the last couple of years.
Young Justice

(Click for bigger.) I was thinking about the upcoming Young Justice cartoon, and how the lineup had been changed, getting rid of my three favourite characters on the team. So as a thought-exercise I thought up a show I would watch, that keeps the slightly goofy feel of the YJ comics, has a fair balance of boys and girls, isn't all white kids, and like the cartoon, doesn't feature Cassie, Cissie, or Tim.
So here we have Miss Martian (M'gann), Secret (Greta), Superboy (Kon), Empress (Anita), Impulse (Bart), and Robin (Damian). Mostly drawn to entertain kids at work.
Batkids

Babs as Batgirl. Pose copied from a panel from Brave and the Bold #35 (the Batgirl/Zatanna/Wonder Woman issue), mostly as a colouring exercise. And because I have a ridiculous art-crush on Cliff Chiang.

Rose's Turn. This is the product of late-night conversations with
chavamara. I forget whether this one was my idea or hers: An AU where Rose Wilson became the second Robin instead of Jason. (Her Bruce is doomed.)

Another Steph!Robin, because I clearly have a bad case of the Stephs. This one borrows heavily from the style of the Under The (Red) Hood movie. In the comics, Under the Hood took place right on the heels of War Games, so that got me thinking about how that universe's Robin IV would look. (Because War Games clearly happened in the movieverse, because otherwise Tim would be around.)

And finally, Team Batgirl. Steph, Cass, and Charlie. The amount that I would read a comic about the three of them having ridiculous adventures (led by Oracle, of course) cannot possibly be overstated. (Drawn while entertaining kids at work, several of whom absolutely love Batgirl.)
